PreSchools and Playgroups for Fulwood

St Anthonys Pre-School Playgroup

St Anthonys drive, Fulwood, Preston PR2 3SQ, UK – 07963 700591

My daughter absolutely loves St Anthony's play group and can't wait to start the preschool in September. The staff are amazing, so kind and nurturing yet also encourage the children's self confidence and independence. My daughter loves to go and always has so much to tell me when I collect her. She's made some lovely friends. I highly recommend St Anthony's preschool playgroup, I don't think I could have found a better nursery for my daughter.

Both of my children have absolutely loved attending St Anthony's preschool and play group. They've had so much fun! The staff are kind and nurturing. They work hard to prepare the little ones for their transition to school. I couldn't have asked for more!

First Steps Nursery

Fulwood Lodge, Longsands Ln, Fulwood, Preston PR2 9PS, UK – 01772 792644

What a lovely nursery First Steps is. The staff are very caring and attentive and our cheekly little boy had great fun and was really well looked after for the 2 years he attended. He enjoyed his time there and really came out of his shell with new people. He thinks the world of First Steps.

Poppy And Jack's Nursery - Fulwood

22 Black Bull La, Fulwood, Preston PR2 3PX, UK – 01772 719689

I can not rate this nursery highly enough. We have had pleasant enough experience in nurseries with my eldest and for a short time with my second(interspersed with a few bad experiences too, hence the change), absolutely nothing compares to Hillcrest. My son has always been a happy, confident child but even he has come along in leaps and bounds since starting here, he is encouraged to express himself, to do as he pleases and learn new things - always under very competent and loving supervision. It amazes me how well they know each child and how individually they treat them, children always come first here! The outdoor areas cater for every age group and they are *always* out there, rain or shine. My son comes home with so many stories and has truly loved every minute here. I am so sad that we have to leave for him to join school but I am so thankful that we found this place, my worries considerably lessened as soon as he started here, a huge must for all parents! I could gush for hours but honestly just go and look, observe them for five minutes and see how every staff member is completely concentrating on the children and thoroughly enjoying their job.

I can't say enough good things about this wonderful nursery and its staff. Absolutely fantastic, in every way, shape and form. My son loves it and he has learnt so much. He has grown in confidence, self expression, communication and learnt so much through having fun. A***** He loves the outside area and the garden room and log cabin room. Staff are friendly, brilliant with the children and all round shinning examples of what a nursery should be like and run.

THIS IS THE BEST SCHOOOL IN THE WORLD AND ESPECIALLY MR WRENN (who's sadly no longer there)HE WAS JUST THE FUNNIEST AND ALL THE TEACHERS ARE REALLY HELPFUL AND KIND :)

Outstanding! My children moved to this school 12 months ago and I honestly can't fault it. The teachers are very helpful and approachable. My children have come a long way with their confidence and love going to school everyday. Homework is set out for the term and they can choose which order to do them in, this makes it more enjoyable for them and gives them chance to do research and prepare for future homework's. 10/10

The Lancashire Wine School

Holiday Inn Preston, Ring Way, Preston PR1 3AU, UK – 01253 301934

I bought my friend a wine tasting voucher for Christmas and she loved the event. Colin made us feel so welcome and created a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. I've attended a few more events since and each one is different, but each one is outstanding - the best value night out in Preston

The courses run by the Lancashire Wine School are fantastically good fun, for both newcomers to wine and more knowledgeable drinkers. I attended the 10 week world of wine course and found it an excellent way to learn more about the regional variations in wine produced around the world. I have always been a French wine fan and didn’t believe any other kind could compare but I was pleasantly surprised to find many wines from both the New and Old world to be not only comparable but in some instances better! Each night Colin chose a broad selection of the wine produced from a country, all bought from local supermarkets and shops and at reasonable prices. He infected us with his enthusiasm and by the end of each evening all of us were excitedly debating that night’s wines and our thoughts on wine in general. I would thoroughly recommend any of Colin’s courses!

Linx Training

Preston Technology Centre, Marsh Ln, Preston PR1 8UQ, UK – 01772 378979

From my initial enquiries about my course to completing the course, my dealings with the team at Linx Training in Preston were first class, they were pleasant, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble, even though I had several queries initially, regarding which course to sign up for. Having completed the course, which was very interesting and helpful for the future, I cannot recommend enough, the training and support provided by the team at Linx Training. I would also like to add a very BIG thank you to Ellie and Harry for their ongoing support and also to Steve R the trainer and Steve S, the other trainer. Both of whom were extremely knowledgeable and experienced, yet friendly, down to earth and approachable. Keep up the good work!! Mark

I went for my Door Supervisors course here at Linx training. I found the entry process smooth and efficient. All the relevant information was sent in advance and in good time. I had clear instructions what to do, where to go and what to bring. The training facilities were excellent and the building was clean and comfortable. The administration staff were professional and good at their jobs, notably Harry who seemed on top of everything. The training itself was second to none. It was delivered absolutely superbly by a guy called Steve Reynolds who was full of character, very knowledgeable, funny and totally on the ball regarding door supervision. He made even the most boring parts of the course extremely engaging. Nobody had any complaints about his teaching methods. He's quite clearly a guy who's been round the block a few times. You'd definitely want him on your team for morale as well as his professional conduct. He made the course what it was. Without him it wouldn't be the same.

Preston's College

St Vincents Rd, Fulwood, Preston PR2 8UR, UK – 01772 225522

MOSTLY GOOD ONLY A COUPLE OF THINGS ANOYED ME PERSONALLY. OVER THE TOP ENFORCMENT OF THE NO SMOKING UNLESS IN A DESIGNATED AREA RULE AS THERE IS ONLY ONE (SMALL) SMOKING SHELTER FOR THE WHOLE COLLEGE. GOT ASKED TO LEAVE CLASSROOM FOR NOT REMOVING MY HAT (AS MY HAIR WOULD HAVE BEEN IN MY EYES AND WE WERE REQUIRED TO SIT AT A COMPUTOR) WAS SUGGESTED I GET A HAIR NET FROM HAIRDRESSING(WHICH IF YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT IT IS LIKE WEARING A HAT SO TELL ME WHAT THE DIFFERANCE IS AND HOW THAT AFFECTS THE COLLEGE. TUTOR SAYS ITS COLLEGE POLICY BUT WHEN I CHECKED AND ASKED STAFF TO CHECK NO SUCH POLICY EVEN EXISTS.. ITS A MEDIEVIL TRADITION OF RESPECT IF YOU WERE TO ENTER ANOTHER MANS HOUSE YOU TAKE YOUR HAT OFF TO SHOW THAT PERSON YOU TRUSTED THERE HOUSE AND IS A RIDICULOUSE RULE TO ENFORCE IN 2017 ESPESHALY WHEN THE TUTOR WHO ASKED YOU TO LEAVE FOR NOT COMPLYING WITH A NONE EXISTENT POLICY SWORE REGULARY IN CLASS WHICH IRONICLY IS ACTUALLY AGAINST COLLEGE POLICY.

I studied Functional Skills English level 1 in 2011 at Preston's Course College,i enjoyed the course i found my English tutor Chris Forde to be very supportive i thought the course was interesting.I had to take a re - sit for the exam, which i passed on the next attemped.I also studied Functional Skills ITQ level 1 City & Guilds, which i was well supported by my tutor Tony Giles. This course was a good acheivement, as i had to pass 5 modules in order to get this qualification.I 've have further improved my education and my prospects in general .My last academic year with Preston College was 2013,in that year i studied Functional Skills Mathmatics Entry Level 3 City & Guilds which i successfuly went on to pass the exam. The Tutors who taught me on this course were mike Perry and nigel Claire they supported me,j thought this was an excellent course. It really boosted my confidence in Mathmatics.I enjoyed my time studying these courses at Preston's College. If you want to brush up on different subjects, then i would definitely recommend Prestons College for a place to study. So get your self down to a Preston's College next open event & see what course's they have got to offer.

Teach Guitar Preston

13 W View Terrace, Preston PR1 8UA, UK – 01772 733930

Dave is a very talented guitarist with a clear passion for music. He has a wealth of experience, knowledge and enthusiasm that he conveys during every lesson. His expert tuition gives you the freedom to learn whatever suits your style, whilst increasing your ability. I really look forward to every lesson and feel that I am improving each time – Dave is a very patient and positive teacher who is always optimistic about my progress, he has a very good ear and a great eye for detail. Each lesson is conducted in a calm, relaxed, friendly and fun atmosphere; the vast library of source material available helps to ensure that I remain interested and motivated to carry on my guitar journey. Highly recommended and fantastic fun! If you are in any doubt about whether to book lessons.... get in touch with Dave and you will never look back.

Dave's relaxed style coupled together with him teaching you with music you love really enables you to continue to feel motivated. It's no secret that learning to play the guitar is difficult but in this way you can connect with what you're learning to play which just adds that extra bit of love in what you're doing and really makes the time spent practicing enjoyable and worth it. I feel motivated and positive after each weekly session with Dave and this is vital because with out this I probably would have given up by now. His knowledge of the guitar, music in general and his ability to adapt songs in to something you can manage make lessons enjoyable and something to look forward to. Dave is patient and has a great sense of humour and I would implore anyone wanting to learn the guitar to visit Dave and see for themselves- you won't be disappointed!
